RE:The day your life turns around.

“Aniekan, when will my life turn around?” If I got a Naira for every time someone asked me that question, I’d be as rich as Allison Madueke or Abacha. Like many people, I grew up not recognising my gifts, and I know how daunting it can be to grow up feeling “passionless or giftless”. This was my life, well up until the morning of Monday(18th September 2017). I had woken up like any other day, said my prayers and did every other thing but I felt something different, I felt an energy and being very analytical, I knew it was because that day was the first day I would receive any information on marketing. On my way out of the house, I saw my superwoman( my mum) heading out as well, and so we started talking. One conversation led to another, and we were laughing and taking pictures. Well, I was doing more of the laughing. This picture not only reminds me of the priceless moments I share with my family and friends but I was introduced to marketing on that day. That day taught me to spend more time with loved ones, and that to find your passions, you need to keep learning.

You see, most people think that if they try whatever gets their blood pumping, one day, they’ll find the things they’re good at, and they’re right. Others wait around and make no move at all, but you belong to the other group, right? Life is a process, and there is no “special” day your life will turn around. Yes, you will have memorable days when you’ll remember taking essential decisions or spending time with loved ones, but one decision is not enough to change your life the way you want. You will need to make several coordinated and intentional decisions, and some of them will seem difficult at first. Since sacrificing to pay for that Digital Media Marketing masterclass with Ized, I have had to complement my progress with life-changing days. So, to find that which you were given by the master, keep learning, stay open and feed what feeds you. If you see a modelling competition you’d like to compete in, do it. If you want to write, do it. If you want to go into agriculture, by all means, go for it Fail, learn, fail again, learn some more and soon, you will be the biggest winner in every room.
